Welcome to the Women’s Ministry Department. We believe that women are priceless diamonds crafted by God to aid in the fulfillment of His mission, both in the home and society at large. Our theme for this tenure is ‘Transformed by the Holy Spirit’: Committed to Service
Objectives
- To enable women to deepen their faith and to experience spiritual growth and renewal
- Build networks among women, the church and the community that encourage bonds of friendship, mutual support and creative exchange of ideas and information
- Mentor and encourage young Adventist women, creating paths for their involvement in the church as they reach for their full potential in Christ
- Liaison and cooperate with other departments of the church to meet the needs of women
- Seek expanding avenues of dynamic Christian service for women. Challenging each Adventist women to use her gifts and to complement the talents of others as they work side by side to further the global mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
Events for 2012
- General meetings on the 2nd Sabbath of every month after vespers
- Motivational/ Health talks once every quarter
- Prayer breakfast on the 29th of April which includes Whitehall Ave SDA and Constant Spring SDA
- Women’s day of fellowship on November 25th, 2012, the venue: TBA
- One week crusade on June 24-30 and on the 30th Women’s Emphasis Day
- September 16th, 2012 health forum
- Women’s retreat on July 19- 22, 2012, a joint venture between Whitehall Ave and Constant Spring
